Who are we?
We’re a group of students and young professionals based in Southampton who organise aerospace lectures, industry skills workshops and competitions for the local Solent engineering community.
Why join?
As well as having a great insight into the aerospace
industry, the YPC is the perfect opportunity to develop professional skills as part of a motivated and friendly team!
Who can join?
Whether you’re an engineer or just have a passion for aerospace and want to get involved in the industry—anyone can join! We welcome any student or young professional within the Solent district.

Join us for a careers themed workshop consisting of three 20 min talks about how hiring works in the aerospace industry and what to expect when applying.

Aerochallenge 2022
Sign up for this year's Young Person's Committee Aerochallenge Competition!
Join us in a fun afternoon and compete for prizes as well as the chance to attend the national finals! We'll also have free pizza for all participants.

My experience in the Aerospace industry
Anthony Jones – Firmware Engineer at Airbus
We are delighted to welcome Anthony Jones to present about his career so far, in particular, his time spent working at Faraday Predictive and Airbus.
Anthony is a University of Warwick graduate and did his dissertation on “Signal detection in a 5G Environment using Neural Networks “.
He also completed an industrial placement year as a Software Engineering Intern for Airbus Defence and Space where he now works as a Graduate Firmware Engineer.
