| Andy's talents, which were signalled by his winning an RAF scholarship and a first in Mathematics at Oxford, have resulted in a very successful flying career that spans F4s, F3s, Qinetiq Farnborough, the UK’s Permanent Joint HQ, Deputy Station Commander at RAF Wittering and currently Whitehall. | ||||||||||||
| Summary: | Andy Green joined the very select band of World Land Speed Record holders in 1997. In doing so, he became the first and only person to drive supersonically, in the process overcoming dramatic and unexpected ground effects. | |||||||||||
